Awarded in July 2017 by Suffolk Construction, Royal Caribbean Cruise Terminal A – Phase I represents Alphacladding’s first full-scale project—an opportunity we hold with deep pride and lasting gratitude. Known as the *“Crown of Miami”* for its distinctive silhouette when viewed from the sea, this iconic structure stands as a defining landmark within the PortMiami skyline. Alphacladding was responsible for the design assist, design of the façade elements, engineering, fabrication, and installation of a custom curtain wall façade system, developed to meet the complex geometric conditions and performance demands of a high-traffic, large-scale cruise terminal. The façade was engineered to achieve optimal structural integrity, weather resistance, and durability, while maintaining the architectural vision of transparency, fluidity, and lightness. Through precise coordination, advanced detailing, and disciplined execution, our team delivered a façade solution that integrates performance with architectural expression—supporting both the operational intensity of the facility and its iconic presence on the waterfront.
