Located at 2111 SoLé Mia Way, UHealth at SoLé Mia brings high-quality academic medicine to North Miami, Aventura, and the surrounding communities. This 7-story, 363,000-square-foot facility, situated on nearly 10 acres, stands out not only for its open green spaces and serene lagoon views but also for the complexity of its construction. Alphacladding was entrusted with the complete façade system development, including Design Assist services, detailed engineering, fabrication, and the custom design of the unitized curtain wall system—meticulously engineered to meet the technical and performance demands of this state-of-the-art healthcare facility. As part of our scope, Alphacladding developed and patented an innovative unitized façade system integrating aluminum panel cladding with an adjacent glass curtain wall assembly. This advancement allowed for the prefabrication and unitization of areas traditionally constructed using conventional CMU walls, eliminating the need for masonry construction while improving installation efficiency, structural coordination, faster installation and overall building performance. The curtain wall and panelized units were fully prefabricated off-site at the ES Manufacturing facility in Colombia, within a controlled production environment that ensured precision fabrication, rigorous quality control, and streamlined field execution. As an engineering-driven project, Alphacladding’s expertise was instrumental in delivering a sophisticated, high-performance façade solution that enhanced both the building’s operational functionality and architectural expression, while supporting the project’s demanding construction schedule.
